What Is Your Message?
So what is your message? Is it a message about the services you provide on a regular
basis? Or maybe your organization is having a special event or activity. What ever your
message is, Siouxland Community Media provides the tools necessary to produce a
television program that will get your message out to the community.
How To Get Your Message On Television
As a non profit organization, you can get your message on television by being a guest
on our established program, Focus on the Community, or you could produce your own
television program or series.
- An opportunity to provide an
overview of your services.
- Promote a special event or
activity.
- Announce a new service or
an improvement to an
existing service.
- No cost to be our guest.
- Ideal for sharing information on all the services
your organization offers.
- The run of your series may be short or
perpetual, on a weekly, biweekly or monthly
basis.
- Each program in your series may be up to 13.5
minutes in length.
- Producers purchase any non-renewable
materials.
Should You Be Our Guest On Our Program Or Produce Your Own Show?
That depends on what your objective is. Being a guest on our program is a great way to
introduce an organization's services or discuss a special event. However if you want to
go into detail about your organization's mission and services, you should consider a
television series on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Being Our Guest
Your organization can be our guest on Focus on the Community, a weekly interview style
program that highlights local organizations and activities throughout Siouxland. As our
guest, your interview will telecast on an established weekly program, which telecasts
twice per week, on cable channel 12.
Being our guest on Focus on the Community is a service provided without cost to your
organization. To schedule an appearance or ask us a question, contact us.
Producing Your Own Program
Constant communication with the community is a key element in gaining community
support for the projects, activities and services your organization provides. A television
series provides that constant link, and enables you to go more in-depth about the
services and activities your organization provides.
When you produce a series, your organization is responsible for the content, guests and
dialogue of the program. Siouxland Community Media will assist you with the technical
aspects of production on an availability basis. Producers are responsible for the cost of
any non-renewable materials used in the show.
